Canton Rep: Man Files Suit to Stop North Canton's Suarez Grant

The Canton Repository reported today that New York resident Andy Martin — a longtime critic of — filed a lawsuit in Stark County Common Pleas Court in an effort to stop the city from granting SCI an .

Upon the approval of City Council, SCI would be able to move into the 200,000-square-foot building at 334 Orchard St. in the Hoover District.

According to the Canton Rep, Martin says North Canton violated state law and passed a “bogus emergency ordinance” when approving grants for SCI, Patriot Enterprises and LT Enterprises. The lawsuit, assigned to Judge Charles E. Brown Jr., names Mayor David Held and six of seven City Council members as defendants.
