Candidate Statement: I believe in fiscal responsibility and am running on this idea. While circulating my petition I have learned many things about the district. The one thing that is clear is that the taxpayers, administration and teachers have made sacrifices in order to make the North Canton City School District amongst the greatest in the nation. As a result of listening to the public, the financial situation in Ohio's schools and my knowledge of how monies work in a district, I believe I have put a finger on the source of the financial problems.

I am for giving more power to the individual local districts. I believe that the each school district should make the decisions in both their curriculum and if a student graduates. As a result I am against standardized testing. No student is the same and I think it's more important to build off of each individual student's strengths as opposed to making each student achieve the same results.

I graduated from in 2003. I have been interested in politics from a young age and have wanted to get involved. I want to continue to make North Canton a superior district by making student learning the main focus. In order to maximize this focus, it's important that everyone involved have the drive to be superior.
