Woman Gets Her Stolen Jewelry Back, Damaged Mailboxes, Car Break-In: Police Blotter

Someone stole a Garmin GPS unit, an iPod and Ray-Ban sunglasses from a car sitting in a garage in the 1200 block of Longshadow Avenue NE between 4 a.m. Saturday and 6:45 a.m. Monday.

Someone damaged 10 mailboxes in the 1200 to 1400 block of Salway Avenue SW between 3 and 4:30 a.m. July 15. Estimated damage totals $500.

Someone stole a Toshiba laptop, Sony Playstation 3, five video games and other items from a home in the 1100 block of North Main Street between 7:15 p.m. July 10 and 8:45 a.m. July 11. Estimated loss is $3,330.
Pawned jewelry finds its way back to owner
A woman in the 900 block of Church Street SW told police someone took $1,575 in jewelry from her home between 6:30 p.m. July 5 and 3:42 p.m. July 7.
The woman said she recovered the rings from the pawn shop later.
