Woman Finds Burglar in Home: Police Blotter
A North Canton woman arrived home early Saturday morning to find a burglar in her house
A woman who lives near Lipton Avenue SW and Orchard Hill Drive told police she walked into her home about 5 a.m. Saturday and found a man in a dark hooded sweatshirt. The man ran out of the house once the woman saw him.
Police responded and patrolled the area but found nothing, according to a call-for-service log.
Baker's rack, bus cart go missing
Someone stole a $200 baker’s rack and $500 stainless-steel bus cart from outside Cafe 1320 between 5 p.m. Feb. 1 and 8 a.m. Feb. 2. The business is at 1320 S. Main St.
Man steals more than $100 in razors
North Canton police arrested a Canton man outside ACME Fresh Market about 7 p.m. Wednesday for allegedly trying to smuggle $118 in medication and $114 in razor blades out of the store.
The man reportedly put the items in his jacket and walked out of the store without paying. A store security officer stopped him outside, and he was arrested for theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, shortly after.
