WATCH: Justin Brumbaugh Sworn In as Full-Time Police Officer

The Perry High School graduate served in the U.S. Army for five and a half years

The welcomed one more full-time officer to the force Monday night.

Officer Justin Brumbaugh, a 2004 Perry High School graduate and 2011 graduate of the Kent State police academy, is the newest full-time addition.

Brumbaugh was surrounded by his family and friends inside North Canton City Council Chambers Monday night as he was sworn in by Mayor David Held. Brumbaugh, 26, fills an open position from a retirement in 2011.

He's served five and a half years as a military policeman, attaining the rank of sergeant, and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Brumbaugh and his wife Megan have a daughter, 3, and son, 4 months old.
