Vandals Send Pool Employees Diving for Furniture: Police Blotter
Dogwood Pool employees had to get a few pieces of furniture out of the pool after vandals got the idea to get them a little wet
Someone threw two benches, four lounge chairs and a trash can into Dogwood Pool, 365 7th Street NE, between 10:05 p.m. July 5 and 6:20 a.m. July 6.
$11,500 in jewelry stolen
A resident in the 1300 block of Westfield Avenue SW told police someone climbed into her home through an open window and stole $11,500 in jewelry. The person left through the back door in the garage between noon and 2:18 p.m. July 8.

Appliances stolen from rental property
Someone took a Kenmore refrigerator, Sears front-loading dryer and Wal-Mart push lawn mower from a rental property in the 1100 block of Applegrove Street NW between 9 a.m. and 5:11 p.m. July 4. Estimated loss is $1,800.

Stolen trailer
A man reported his trailer stolen from the 100 block of Clearmount Avenue. He told police the $1,800 trailer was stolen between 10:30 p.m. June 19 and 5:30 p.m. June 28.
Smashed window, stolen cash
Someone smashed the window of a car sitting in the 6400 block of Wise Avenue about 1:40 p.m. July 5. The person stole $150 and a black leather purse. Estimated loss and damage totals $870.
