Shoplifter Returns For Round 2: Police Blotter

A Beloit woman was banned from at 1664 N. Main St. for shoplifting, but that didn't stop her from returning to the store to try it again. Police issued a summons to appear in court to the 51-year-old woman after she tried to steal $14 in merchandise from the store about 5:15 p.m. Thursday. 

16-year-old's car hit intentionally

A 16-year-old North Canton girl told police another motorist intentionally struck her car while she was driving in the 900 block of Applegrove St. recently. The incident caused $700 in damages. The girl wasn't injured, according to the police report.

Car's tires and rims go missing

Someone stole the tires and rims from a car sitting in a parking lot in the 600 block of South Main Street between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 5:45 a.m. Thursday. Estimated loss is $980.

Woman thinks house guest stole her pills

A resident in the 100 block of Middleworth Avenue SW believes one of her house guests stole 28 Oxycodone pills from her home. The pills cost about $280 altogether. The theft occurred about 3:45 p.m. Dec. 15.

GPS stolen from car at YMCA

Someone broke the window of a car in parking lot, 200 S. Main St., between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The person stole a Garmin GPS valued at $300 and caused $200 in damages to the car.

GPS stolen from car on Roselane Street

A Garmin GPS valued at $130 was stolen from a car in the 100 block of Roselane Street SW between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. Thursday. The person smashed a window to get into the car, causing $200 in damages.

Car parts stolen from Hoover High School

Someone stole $3,400 in various car parts from a restricted area of , 525 7th St. NE, between 4 p.m. Nov. 30 and 4 p.m. Dec. 12. Missing items include a Ford seat frame, a Chevy rear suspension and axle assembly, a Chevy deck lid assembly and a Chevy tailgate. Police listed the high school as well as North Canton, Canton and Uniontown residents as victims on the police report.

Reindeer decorations vandalized

A resident in the 1000 block of Orchard Avenue told police someone threw his two reindeer decorations into his driveway about 9:50 p.m. Monday, causing about $90 in damages.

Truck window smashed, GPS and other items stolen

Someone smashed the window of a truck sitting in the 1200 block of South Main Street between 11:30 a.m. and 12:07 p.m. and stole a Garmin GPS, tool bag and miscellaneous ID cards valued. Estimated loss is $350.

Toilet paper fire at Price Park

Arson and vandalism was reported at , 1000 W. Maple St. Someone set toilet paper on fire in the men's restroom and damaged the wall and toilet paper dispenser between 10 a.m. Dec. 9 and 9:10 a.m. Dec. 10.

Car on Butler Street saran-wrapped

Someone saran-wrapped a car sitting in the 1300 block of Butler Street SE and covered it in washable paint between 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Dec. 12.
