Sexually Oriented Offender Sells Alcohol to Teen

have issued a North Canton man — and sexually oriented offender — a summons to appear in court after he reportedly served beer to a 17-year-old girl.

Police say Joel Woloschuk, 47, of North Canton, sold a beer to the girl, who was undercover with the investigative unit of the Ohio Department of Public Safety, about 9:20 p.m. Saturday at the BP Oil at 1406 N. Main St.

Woloschuk made no attempt to verify her age or date of birth, police said in a news release.

Neetu LLC, doing business as BP Oil, was notified of the incident, and, during the investigation, Woloschuk also was discovered to be classified as a sexually oriented offender. He's been issued a summons to appear at 9 a.m. Dec. 1 in Canton Municipal Court.

requested the assistance of the Ohio Investigative Unit agents after receiving information about sales of beer to underage individuals.
