School Superintendent Files Report Over Threatening Tweet

Michael Hartenstein, superintendent of North Canton City Schools since August of this year, says he felt threatened by a Twitter update from a spurned ex-employee.

The North Canton police report did not list any suspect information.

It only included this one sentence in the narrative portion of the report:

"The victim reports he feels threatened by remarks an (ex)employee made on Twitter after being discharged."

The report listed the time frame for when the incident occurred as 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Nov. 2 and classified the incident as "menacing," a fourth-degree misdemeanor.
