Repair Work to Shut Down Everhard Road at Westfield Avenue Thursday

North Canton police suggest motorists avoid the 100 to 400 block of Everhard Road SW that day

A southwest portion of Everhard Road may be a little hairy to navigate Thursday.

The North Canton Police Department says the 100 to 400 block of Everhard Road will be shut down so crews can complete a water line repair project. Water district personnel will begin work at 9 a.m. and should be completed by 2:30 p.m. that day.

The major repair work will be at the intersection with Westfield Avenue SW heading north. The westbound lanes of Everhard Road SW will be closed to through traffic at South Main Street.

Residents on Cornell Avenue SW and Ambler Avenue SW will be assisted onto Everhard Road SW, eastbound only. The eastbound curb lane of Everhard Road SW will be open to through traffic to South Main Street.

Police officers and water district employees will be directing traffic in that area. Motorists should expect some delays or plan an alternate route for their travels during that time.
