Police Uniform and Firearm Stolen From Cars: Crime Blotter

Police officer's uniform stolen from inside garage
Someone stole a Canton police officer's uniform short-sleeve shirt from a car parked in a garage in the 700 block of Portage Street. The theft took place between 10 p.m. March 21 and 1:50 p.m. March 22. Estimated loss is $60.

A large cast-iron pot valued at $150 was stolen from a yard in the 900 block of Glenwood Street SE between 12:01 a.m. and 9 a.m. March 23.
Copper pipes stolen from empty home

A construction worker who works on empty and foreclosed homes told police that a home in the 100 block of Taft Avenue NE was burglarized. Someone had stolen $100 in copper pipes from the basement of the home between noon Feb. 8 and 1 p.m. March 20.
Handgun stolen from car
A $458 Ruger semi-automatic handgun was stolen from a car parked in the 100 block of Rose Lane Street SW between 8 p.m. March 9 and 2 a.m. March 11.
Car broken into on Hower Street
A GPS unit, Nikon camera, camera lenses and other camera supplies were stolen from a car parked in the 400 block of Hower Street between 5 p.m. March 10 and 5:30 a.m. March 11. Estimated loss is $1,672.
