Police: North Canton Man Loses Control of SUV, Dies

Marvin Hackworth II was pronounced dead Wednesday afternoon at a local hospital.

Marvin Hackworth II, 26, of North Canton, suffered fatal injuries in a single-car crash Wednesday in Plain Township, The Canton Repository reports.

Hackworth was driving east on U.S. Route 62 near the Rowland Avenue NE intersection when he reportedly lost control of a GMC Yukon SUV and veered off the highway.

“I believe he lost control and struck a utility pole,” Sgt. James Tedrick told The Canton Repository. “He was extricated outside (the vehicle). I would describe it as major damage to the vehicle.”

My heart goes out to the family of this young man. He was a son, a brother, a father and a husband. Mary loosing a child is by far the worst loss experienced by a mother. You are in my prayers
