Police In Search of Driver Who Abandoned His Car and Fled on Foot

North Canton Police are looking for Thomas R. Patton III, 27, whose last known address is North Canton

North Canton police are on the lookout for a man who abandoned his car and took off on foot about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday night.

Police said they attempted to stop a car in which the driver was known to be driving under suspension. The man fled south on South Main Street and then east on Easthill Street SE before abandoning his car and continuing on foot.

Police searched the area but could not locate the man.

On Wednesday, Canton Municipal Court issued arrest warrants for the driver, Thomas R. Patton III, in relation to the incident. Patton is 27 years old, with his last known address at 212 Bainbridge St. NE, North Canton.

A photo of him is attached, but police describe him as a white man with blond hair and blue eyes standing 5'11" and weighing 190 pounds.

Charges include failure to comply with a police officer, a fourth-degree felony; obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor; driving under suspension and reckless operation.
