Man Arrives at Police Scene Carrying Drugs, Gets Arrested: Crime Blotter

North Canton police supplied the following information. It does not indicate convictions.

Student loses control

Police were called to Hoover High School March 22 at 12:12 p.m. after an unruly student caused "inconvenience, annoyance and alarm" during class, according to a police report. 

Classmates of the 17-year-old student reportedly feared for their safety as the teenager used vulgar language to challenge and intimidate his teacher.

The boy was cited for disorderly conduct and minor menacing, both fourth-degree misdemeanors.

North Canton police pulled over a motorist in the 1600 block of South Main Street March 28 at 7:35 p.m. after officers noticed the car's license plates weren't properly displayed.

Following a background check, officers learned the driver not only had a suspended license but an outstanding arrest warrant as well.

According to the police report, the owner of the car was called to the scene and was arrested, too, as he also had an outstanding warrant.

To make matters worse, the man was found with illegal pills and was charged with possession of scheduled drugs, a fifth-degree felony.
