North Canton Police Blotter: Malone University Stalker Jumps on Woman's Car

Police took a report from a Canton woman who said a Malone University student followed her through the city, cut her off and then jumped on her car

A Canton woman and Malone University employee told a student who's been stalking her followed her through North Canton Thursday, cut her off in the 300 block of Ream Street, then jumped onto her car.

The woman's 11-year-old son was in the car with her.

The victim pulled into City Hall, 145 N. Main St., to get to police. That's when the female student left the area in her car.

The victim told police she would follow up with the Canton City Prosecutor's Office about the ongoing problem, according to the call for service log.

Teen with $1,200 in library fines steals items

A 19-year-old with $1,200 in fines from the was caught stealing items Tuesday morning.

The teen tried to take six movies before he was spotted by a library employee and put the movies back. The man told police he will work out a payment plan with the library to pay back his fines.

Vehicle vandalism

Someone cut the top of a Jeep in the 200 block of Roselane Street SW between 2 p.m. May 11 and 8:58 a.m. May 12. Estimated loss is $1,100.

Two more for the party

In our last blotter, who targeted the Washington Square May 14 and stole nearly $175 in alcohol. 

We'd like to add two more to the party.

Two female suspects stole a 24-pack of Busch from the same Giant Eagle about 3:04 p.m. that same day. They also stole a laundry basket, paper towels and two packages of blank CDs. Estimated loss is $32.
