No One Cited in Car-Versus-Pedestrian Crash on Everhard Road
The crash occurred in the 800 block of Everhard Road when a pedestrian ran in front of a moving car
No one will be cited in a car-versus-pedestrian crash that happened in the 800 block of Everhard Road SW Sunday evening, police said.
North Canton EMS took Carol A. Grandjean, 50, to Aultman Hospital for minor injuries after she was hit by a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Michael J. Griggs, 65, of North Canton, at about 6:22 p.m.
North Canton police said Griggs was traveling east on Everhard Road when Grandjean attempted to cross the street where there was no intersection or crosswalk. She made it into the second lane of travel before she was hit.

Police said she told them something had obstructed her view to where she couldn't see Griggs' car.
Police also handled a car-versus-pedestrian crash on Oct. 22 in which a pedestrian walking with traffic was struck by a 2000 Honda Accord the 1600 block of Elberta Avenue.

County prosecutors plan to examine phone records in the Oct. 22 crash to determine if the driver was on her cell phone at the time of the crash, police said.
