Man Who Ran Naked After Crashing into Federal Building Gets Two Years Probation

Christopher S. McCormick, 26, of North Canton, crashed his car into the Ralph Regula Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse May 5 and appeared in court for his sentencing hearing Thursday

A North Canton man will spend the next two years on probation and will receive mental health treatment after in Canton May 5.

Christopher S. McCormick, 26, of North Canton, had driven a Dodge Stratus into the southwest corner of the Ralph Regula Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse at 301 McKinley Ave. SW about 3 a.m. May 5. McCormick ran around naked before police arrested him.

And, according to the Canton Repository, McCormick spit in the face of a Stark County Sheriff's deputy at the hospital at which he was being treated.

McCormick pleaded guilty to felony charges of vandalism and harassment with a bodily substance and was also ordered by the judge Thursday to get treatment at the Stark Regional Community Correction Center, according to the Rep.
