Man tries to steal $184 in brandy from ACME
A man tried to walk out of ACME with six bottles of brandy about 9 p.m. Monday. He loaded the bottles into an empty box and left the store without paying. An ACME employee tried to stop the man, and the suspect left the items behind and fled on foot. The brandy cost $184.
Security guard injured in scuffle at Gabriel Brothers
A Gabriel Brothers employee was hurt when someone tried to steal $118 in clothing from the store about 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The suspect struggled with the store security guard and ran from the store. The security guard injured his shoulder, but, according to the police report, did not need medical attention.
5 spray painting incidents
Police handled several reports of spray-painting incidents Thursday. Targeted buildings were , and , all on North Main Street. Also vandalized was the restroom door at Witwer Park, 301 Park Circle SW.
Purse stolen from laundromat
Someone stole a woman's purse when she left it unattended at the North Canton Laundromat between 9 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Tuesday. The purse cost $500 and the woman had $15 inside it.
Tools stolen from garage on Northfield Avenue
Someone stole a Stihl back pack leaf blower valued at $600 from a grage in the 1300 block of Northfield Ave. SE between 8 p.m. Oct. 5 and 10:29 a.m. Oct. 19. The person also took a weed trimmer.
Missing Pepsi machine
A Pepsi machine was stolen from the 500 block of North Main Street about 11:45 p.m. Oct. 20. Estimated loss is $2,000.
Breaking and entering at Nail Star
Someone broke into Nail Star at 1116 N. Main St. between 8:40 p.m. Oct. 19 and 9:55 a.m. Oct. 20.
Tools stolen from car on North Main Street
Someone took a tool belt and tools from a car in the 1100 block of North Main Street between midnight and 9:15 a.m. Wednesday. The person also broke the latch off the car's glove box. Estimated loss is $184.
