Man Threatens Pizza Employees After They Wouldn't Deliver to Him: Police Blotter

Demico's Pizzeria handles harrassing phone call

An angry caller told the owner of that "someone should come and shoot up the business" after he was told the restaurant would not deliver a pizza to him. The man was outside the delivery area when he called in about 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Car broken into on 9th Street NW

Someone stole a driver's license, credit cards and other items totaling $500 from a car in the 200 block of 9th Street NW between 3:30 p.m. and 5:01 p.m. Saturday.

Shed spray-painted on Hower Street NE

A shed in the 400 block of Hower Street NE was spray-painted in black paint between 8 a.m. Feb. 6 and 5 p.m. Monday. Damage is about $100.

Man gives police fake name during traffic stop

A 25-year-old Canton man lied to police when he was pulled over about 4:45 p.m. Sunday. The man gave police a fake name and was charged with falsification and driving under suspension (both first-degree misdemeanors). He also had a warrant out for failure to comply, a third-degree felony.

Teen jumped in the 300 block of Witwer Street

A 16-year-old North Canton boy told police he was walking in the 300 block of Witwer Street NE when a group of boys he didn't know jumped him about 6:30 p.m. Feb. 15. The boy's mom took him to Aultman Hospital to treat his broken nose.

Truck damaged on Knoll Street SE

Someone broke out a window of a truck in the 900 block of Knoll Street SE between 3:20 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. Feb. 16. The owner of the truck told police nothing appeared to be missing. A similar break-in occurred with a neighbor, who said a wallet valued at $400 was stolen from his car.

Garage door opener taken from car on Northfield Avenue SE

A $40 garage door opener was stolen from an unlocked car in the 1400 block of Northfield Avenue SE between 7 p.m. Feb. 15 and 8 a.m. Feb. 16.

Cadillac stolen while parked on Peach Street NE

Someone stole a 1991 Cadillac Brougham from a parking lot in the 100 block of Peach Street NE between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 11 and 7 a.m. Feb. 13. The car cost about $1,800.
