Man Huffs Keyboard Cleaner, Passes Out, Crashes Into Tree: Crime Blotter

The following information was supplied by the North Canton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 22-year-old North Canton man, reportedly high on keyboard cleaner, crashed his car into a tree about 3 p.m. Feb. 25.

The man was huffing from a 12-ounce aerosol can then passed out and crashed in the 200 block of Roselane Street SW. The police report did not indicate he was treated for injuries.

The man is charged with abusing a harmful intoxicant, a first-degree misdemeanor, and failure to control, a minor misdemeanor.

GPS stolen from car

A $90 TomTom GPS unit was stolen from a car in the 800 block of Applegrove Street NW between 8 p.m. Feb. 27 and 8:15 a.m. Feb. 28.

Theft at Gabriel Bros.

A 20-year-old Canton woman was arrested for theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, after taking $117 in miscellaneous clothing from Gabriel Bros., 5800 Whipple Ave. NW, about 5:50 p.m. March 1. 

Car window smashed, items stolen

Someone smashed a car window and stole two cell phones, an iPod, a purse and other items from inside the car, which was parked in the 1400 block of North Main Street between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Feb. 22. Estimated loss is $1,405.

Door kicked in at North Canton home

A resident in the 100 block of Sheraton Drive NW arrived home to find his door kicked in but nothing out of place. The incident occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 9:15 p.m. Feb. 19. The person had caused $200 in damages to the door frame.
