Gunman Robs North Canton Radio Shack

Police are asking for the public's help in catching the suspects involved Tuesday evening.

No one was hurt Tuesday evening when a man holding a handgun demanded money from a cashier at Radio Shack on 1470 North Main St.

Police said the man — who is described as a black male in his 20's, about 5-feet 7- to 10-inches tall, 180 pounds, wearing dark blue jeans and a long white t-shirt and backwards baseball hat — ran from the store on foot after taking the money around 6 p.m.

He is also described as having small tattoos on his face near both eyes.

Officials said a woman accompanied the man in the store and also fled on foot. She is described as a black female, late teens to early 20’s, approximately 5-feet 5-inches, 150 pounds, wearing blue jeans with decorative rear pockets, a blue coat with the hood up and a pink bandanna over her hair.

About 20 minutes before Radio Shack was robbed, authorities said these same suspects were seen buying items at the BP gas station at 1406 North Main St. At that time they were believed to be in the company of another person (no known description) and in a light colored — possibly white or silver — car.

Anyone who may have encountered these three at either location and can provide additional information or descriptions should contact the North Canton Police Department at 330-499-5911.
