COMING UP: North Canton Fire Department Plans Open House

The department invites the public inside its North Main Street station for Fire Prevention Week

The is planning an open house in October to shine some light on Fire Prevention Week.

The theme of this year's open house — held 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Oct. 8 and 10 — is "Have two ways out."

And once again, the department will have an area where children can dress up like a firefighter and shoot water from a fire hose.

Firefighters also will be on hand to demonstrate how their firefighting equipment works, to educate people on fire prevention and answer car seat questions.
