Chase Leads to Northfield Man's Arrest: Police Blotter

Police arrested Ly T. Cao of Northfield, who they believe broke into 4Ever Nails at 1468 N. Main St. early Thursday morning.

responded to an alarm at the business at 1:13 a.m. Thursday and saw a black BMW leaving the area. An officer pulled over the car, but the man ran and was arrested after a short pursuit.

Cao faces one count each of breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony; possessing criminal tools, a first-degree misdemeanor; driving under suspension, a first-degree misdemeanor; and criminal damaging, a second-degree misdemeanor.

Vandalism on Wynstone Circle NE

Someone tried to pry the letters off "The Homes of Washington Square South" sign in the 1900 block of Wynstone Circle NE between 12:30 a.m. Oct. 8 and 4:30 p.m Oct. 9.

Car break-in

Twelve bottles of water and $15 in loose change from a car in the 1600 block of Ambler Avenue SW between 11 p.m. Oct. 13 and 6 a.m. Oct. 14.

Theft from Wendy's restaurant

Someone stole the night deposit of $1,006 from Wendy's at 6501 Market Ave. between midnight and 2:30 p.m. Oct. 12.

Giant pumpkins stolen

Two 150-pound pumpkins were stolen from The Plant Hunt, 419 Applegrove St. NW, between 6:30 p.m. Oct. 16 and 10 a.m. Oct. 17. The pumpkins cost $60 altogether.
