A 69-year-old man was charged with a misdemeanor count of theft after strolling out of without paying for his fish oil, probiotic gel and Aveeno moisturizer, totaling $41.

A graffiti artist tagged the building and nearby Dumpster sometime between 7 p.m. April 26 and 9 a.m. April 27. The building is located at 413 Applegrove St. Estimated damage is $550.

Someone broke into a home in the 1400 block of Democracy Drive NW between 11:45 a.m. and 3:48 p.m. April 28 and stole $13,255 in jewelry.

Winning lotto ticket, checkbook stolen from car

A checkbook, $1 winning lottery ticket and a 3-inch pocket knife, totaling $21, were stolen from a car in the 100 block of Maplecrest Street SW between 5 p.m. April 29 and 7:10 a.m. April 30.

St. Luke's bus window busted

Someone busted the window of a St. Luke Lutheran Home bus that was parked in the 500 block of Pittsburg Avenue NW between 10 a.m. April 30 and 10:30 a.m. May 1. Estimated damage is $500.

Car lock popped out on Bachtel Street

Someone popped the lock out of a car door in the 200 block of Bachtel Street SW between 1 and 10 a.m. April 22, causing about $200 in damages.

Prescription stolen from mailbox on Parkview Avenue

A $20 package of Xanax was stolen from a mailbox in the 100 block of Parkview Avenue NW between noon April 9 and 2:18 p.m. April 25.
