A Fight Averted, Stolen Copper & Missing Wallet: Police Blotter

A fight averted at First Friends Church
Police were called out to First Friends Church, 5455 Market Ave., about 1:25 p.m. Wednesday. A caller said about 20 men arrived in eight cars and were about to start a fight. The caller went inside to make the phone call and everyone scattered and left. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to a medic call in the 900 block of North Main Street Sunday night. Two friends were throwing punches between 8:15 p.m. and 8:42 p.m. Neither wanted to pursue charges and said the fight was mutual.
Copper pipes stolen from vacant house

Someone broke into a vacant house in the 500 block of Donner Avenue between 10 p.m. Nov. 10 and 5:55 a.m. Nov. 11. The person took $1,000 in copper piping from the basement.
Wallet stolen from Whipple Avenue office
Someone strolled into an office on Whipple Avenue NW between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 8 and stole a woman's wallet. The person did not have permission to be in the office.
The victim told police charges totalling $4,000 showed up on her bank account.
