Frugal Family: Pictures for Penny Pinchers

Purchasing precious photos of your loved ones is easy and affordable with these offers

When a special family photo is on display, it is a captured memory to recall and enjoy for many years. My husband and I love looking at photos of our children, especially those in which they are showing off their latest abilities. Yes, most would agree with the adage "a picture is worth a thousand words.”

If you are like us, though, it is hard to find the time and money to print the photos we have taken and to have professional ones done in a studio. I am discovering, however, that we and other frugal families easily can obtain a great variety of photos to organize in albums and hang on the walls without breaking the bank.

Ashamedly, we have years’ worth of images to print off. The deals listed below are helping us with our goal of having a large collection of adorable photos of our little girls, though. I hope these offers will help you gather a plethora of fun family images, as well!

I use the Wagreens photo service exclusively. They offer prints at a disount quite often, so I simply upload my photos and wait for a special and then order the prints online and pick them up at the Washington Square Walgreens usually within a couple of hours. Also, Walgreens has been offering freebies such as an 8x10 collage print absolutely free; I took advantage of this offer several times and have some nice collage prints of our trip to Disney World with our grandchilren. This photo service also serves as a free online backup for my photos.

I agree, Ken...Walgreens is pretty great for printing photos. I also LOVE the freebies they offer!
