Renee Birklund, 51, Beloved Wife and Mother

Renee Birklund, 51, passed away on April 9. 

Renee had a passion for life and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at home, at "the cabin" on Leesville Lake, and on Hilton Head Island, according to Reed Funeral Home. 

Renee was born on September 29, 1961 in Canton, Ohio to Jerry and Zola Reynolds.

She graduated from GlenOak High School and earned her degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Akron. She was employed at Diebold for over 30 years and was highly regarded by her co-workers and customers.

Renee is survived by her husband and best friend Tom, her children Katie Motz (Paul), Andy Motz (Allison Fetzer), Dana (Russ) Brandenburg, and Reed Birklund (Kelly Rice), grandson Grayson Brandenburg, her parents Jerry and Zola Reynolds, in-laws Frank and Phyllis Birklund, aunts and uncles Paul Stitt, Leon and Sandra Stitt, Joanne and Ed Moody, and sisters- and brothers-in-law Gail Pederson, Beth and Bill Eisle, and Linda and Jim Junk. In addition, Renee will be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may call at the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel -- located at 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW -- on Friday, April 12 from 4 to 7 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m.

A private burial will take place at Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Arts In Stark, PO Box 21190 Canton, Ohio 44701.
