Linda Girard, 68, Loving Mother and Longtime North Cantonite

Linda I. Girard, 68, of North Canton, passed away Sunday, April 21 in the Chapel Hill Nursing Home.

Linda was born Aug. 17, 1944 in Sharples, W. Va. to the late Ellis Bud and Ermil (Smith) Boyd, according to Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. 

Linda was a Canton area resident most of her life and was a member of Martindale Christian Fellowship Church.

She retired from Manor Care Nursing Home in 2008 and was formerly employed as a dietician with Baker Sumser Nursing Home.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Nate Girard; one aunt, Mary Male; one brother, Ellis Bud Boyd Jr.

She is survived by four children and spouses, Jerry and Bev Briggs of Bolivar, Renee and John Warnock of North Canton, Debbie and Mike Cottrell of Senecaville, OH, Shawn and Angi Briggs of Canton; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; two brothers, Roger and Becky Boyd of Louisville, Rick and Lindel Boyd of Florida.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 23 at 12:00 p.m. in Martindale Christian Fellowship Church, located at 3545 Martindale Rd. NE in Canton. 

Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2698 Broadway Ave. NE in Louisville. Friends may call one hour before services at the church on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
