Dorothy L. Wise, age 85, of North Canton, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013.

She was born Nov. 27, 1927 in Greensburg, Ohio, daughter to the late Carl and Verna (Strawhecker) Climes. She was a graduate of Greentown High School and had worked for the Hoover Company.

Dorothy was the past president of Stark ARC, volunteered for many years at ARC Summer Camp and was the recipient of their Volunteer of the Year award.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Carl H. Wise Jr.; daughters, Kathy (Carl) Dennison, Martha "Myrt" Wise, Amy (Mike) Scaglione; sons, William (Kathi) Wise, Andrew "Andy" Wise; grandchildren, Brian Brumbaugh, Kristen and Anthony Scaglione, William, Nathan and Adam Wise, Ted, Wm Carl and Kenny Dennison, Allyson, Jared and Mallory Schmelzer; eight great- grandchildren; sister, Ruth Zengler and Ruth's children, Carol Kraft and Rick Zengler. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

Funeral services were on May 22.
