Countdown to WordCamp North Canton

Do you love WordPress? Are you new to WordPress? Do you want to know more about WordPress.? WordCamp North Canton is the place to be.

WordCamp comes to North Canton!

That's right!  North Canton is hosting its very own WordPress WordCamp on Saturday, May 4th, 2013 at Stark State College.  Never heard of WordPress? WordPress is a free and open source content management system (CMS) based on PHP and MySQL. It has many features including a plug-in architecture and a template system and is seriously user-friendly. WordPress is currently the most popular CMS in use on the Web, powering over 60 million websites worldwide.  In fact, 6 out of every 10 sites are now utilizing the WordPress platform. Yeah, okay, that's cool and all, but now you're probably wondering, "Who do I know that uses WordPress?" There are tons of notable companies and websites that use WordPress such as CNN, The New York Times, Lollapalooza, eBay, and UPS.

So what is WordCamp, you ask?  WordCamp is where anyone and everyone can come and learn about WordPress.  It doesn't matter how old or young you are. It doesn't matter if you have tons of WordPress experience or none at all! WordPress and WordCamps are for the seasoned professional or the casual user.

WordCamp is a great place to come to learn about WordPress and to meet other WordPress fans. If you've just finished installing your new WordPress site and don't quite know what to do next, come see sessions such as Al Davis' 10 things you should do after the install.  Or maybe you're a writer and you've gotten yourself stuck in a creative slump (even those of us who aren't writers have been there, right?).  Then come see how you can write your first book in 7 weeks using WordPress.  You're sure to make great connections here... after all, we all love talking about WordPress!

Registration starts at 7:30 AM.  After registration, we'll have opening remarks at 8, then the first sessions start at 8:30.  Breakfast treats will be provided by our very own Four Kids Coffee and lunch by Ermanno's Legendary Pizza.  There will also be a Happiness Bar onsite that will help you out with anything you need.  Buckle yourself in, it's sure to be a day filled with learning and fun!

Here's a line up of what you can expect:
