Winter

The Youth Choir VOICES OF HOPE, under the umbrella of A Chorus for a Cause, will present WINTER on February 1, 2014  and again on February 9, 2014 (3:00 p.m) at Union Ave. United Methodist Church in Alliance.

This mostly SAB choir will be singing songs about our present season…some up beat & almost island-like in style, while others will have beautiful lyrical

melodies sure to bring a sense of peace in your day. The Bells, by Edgar

Allen Poe, has been set to music that will get you smiling & Winter Wolf will make you howl with enjoyment.

Winter is a hundred different things: whistling wind and merry bells that ring…Branches lit by moonlight, snow, so soft and still, quiet rooms and firelight, pine trees high on a hill…each of these, a special thing, a wondrous, joyous part of winter. (Winter Wonders by Bernon)

Voices of Hope is a 25 voice choir under the direction of Christine Allison and accompanied by Sandy Simpson. Auditions for new members are going on the whole month of January. Those students in grades 4-12 interested should call 330-456-3186 to audition.

WINTER is a free concert with donations at the door to help us to bring fine music and music education to the youth of our community, as well as encouraging random acts of kindness in everyday living.
