Moving Forward for Mental Health Walk: Boost Your Physical and Mental Health

The Stark Affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is accepting registrations for its "Moving Forward for Mental Health" walk to be held on Sat., Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. at Hoover Park in North Canton. It's an opportunity to boost your mental and physical health, while raising awareness and funding for education, support and advocacy for those thouched by mental illness in our comunity.

"The walk is a positive and powerful event that brings together hundreds of people to raise awareness for this illness that touches one in four people in this this country," said Jennifer Powell-Campbell, NAMI board president and volunteer event chair.

Advanced registration is required at www.namistarkcounty.org It's free, but participants are asked to secure sponsors for their participation in the 2.8 mile walk through the Hoover Park Connector Train on East Maple Street in North Canton. Lunch and door prizes are included!

NAMI is the national's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI advocates for access to services, treatment, support and research and is steadfast in its commitment to raise awareness and build a community of hope for all those in need.
