Fit Family 5K at Walsh University
Saturday, September 14th Walsh University will host our 3rd Annual Fit Family 5K run, part of the SUBWAY® Race Challenge Series, is a fast road race that starts on the Walsh University Campus and winds through the beautiful surrounding community. The 5K race and family activity promotes health and wellness to community members and children while supporting educational scholarships for the Walsh University Doctoral Physical Therapy Students. Families can walk or run together and enjoy a safe and fun active and healthy living atmosphere at Walsh University.
Kids’ Fun Run: Children of all ages can participate in a 0.5 mile run (two track laps). Parents are welcome to accompany their children. Each Kids’ Fun Run finisher will receive an award and tee shirt (with pre-registration).
We will have safe/registered Child Care activities to allow parents the time to run the 5K and make sure kids have a great time with inflatables, crafts, and fun activities/games.

5K Race Age Groups: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over
The top overall male and female finishers will earn awards of $200. The top three finishers in each age group will also receive awards.

Cost:
Advanced Registration
5K adult race = $20
5K student rate = $15 (with ID)
Kids fun run = $6
Same Day Race Registration:
5K race (all participants) = $25
Kids fun run = $6

Friday, September 13
3-7 p.m. Packet pick-up for pre-registered runners (David Center)
Saturday, September 14
7 a.m. Same-day registration and packet pick-up (David Center)
8:10 a.m. Stretching/activities for kids on the Walsh race track
8:20 a.m. Kids Fun Run
9 a.m. 5K Run/Walk Race Starts
9:30- Subway lunch
10:15 Awards
All pre-registered runners will receive a Walsh Fit Family 5K Race t-shirt (shirts not guaranteed to same day registrations).
