Included on the performance program is the premiere work INCUBUS DIVINE, a dark portrayal of the concept of a “demonic possession of a lost soul”.  This intense work will explore the demons that we all have residing inside our souls and those that strain to capture our souls. This work is sure to send chills down the spines of its viewers.

The premiere of THE SOCIAL ORDER is an emotional commentary on the social interactions of bullying in today’s society. This piece demonstrates the pain and isolation an individual feels when being ostracized by others, but then also how individuals can have a change of heart and realize their mistakes in out casting others. Original music by Alex Cooke captures the emotions that individuals experience when in this tough position.

Returning from last season is TOY BOX, a group work with an edgy twist to a child’s dolls. This work will make one think twice about the cute inanimate and innocent personalities of toy dolls. A whirlwind of surprise and twists, this work will be sure to have its viewers to remember to treat their toys with care and respect. Doll owners beware!

The premiere work, MONARCH, is inspired by the beauty and movement of the monarch butterfly.  This imagistic work will capture the energy and life cycle of the butterfly. The program also includes the premiere of D.U.I “dancing under influence” ; a social commentary of how easily society is influence to be followers instead of leaders and the consequences that can come with those actions. Set to original hip-hop inspired music by Alex Cooke.

Lastly, NATURAL CHILDBIRTH by guest artist Michelle Blanton Strong takes a humorous look at one of life’s most important event’s “childbirth”. Set to the comedic monologue of Bill Cosby’s Childbirth skit, this piece is sure to make one laugh over and over.
