Week in Review: Help for Entrepreneurs, Pizza Champs and More

Miss some news this week? Don't worry about it! Here are five big stories that came out of North Canton this week

1. — Alan Frank and wife competed this past weekend in the North American Pizza and Ice Cream Show and placed fourth and eighth out of 75 competitors across the country. Read how the couple strapped their pizza dough on the roof of their car and drove from North Canton to Columbus for the competition. (Hey, whatever works!)

2. — We had to include this in the week in review list because, well, these kids are hard workers and they deserve a little more attention. If you missed the story the first time, go back and take a look; you’ll see just what goes into being a Five-Star Hoopster.

3. — City Council spent nearly two hours Tuesday night listening to the executive director of ICAN Housing Solutions try to defuse tensions over the agency’s purchase of the . North Canton Patch viewers had lots to say after it , and they still are weighing in on the decision . Please, keep your opinions coming!

4. — Allow us to toot our own horn here, just for one second. Lt. Michael Wurgler e-mailed North Canton Patch with photos of a couple celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary, and he wanted to know who those photos belonged to. A North Canton city worker had found the photos and frames near Orion and North Main streets and turned them in to police. It took no longer than an hour before a North Canton Patch viewer saw the photos on the website and called the couple’s granddaughter to let her know. Great job!

5. — Patch contributor Lisa Lynch-Frank (yep, the same one who owns ) wrote about the Center for Entrepreneurial Success at .
