Trailer Park Residents Didn't Object Before Approval of Apartments: Planning Commission Chairman

The fact that residents are resistant to move out of Evergreen Mobile Home Park to make way for the new Northridge Apartments was news to Planning Commission Chairman Dennis Flechtner.

In the video, some said they had planned to live at the park for the rest of their lives before they got notice from the new property owner (North Ridge Place Ltd.) that they would have to move. They said the move would cost many of them thousands of dollars, and they already are on tight budgets and low incomes.

But had they raised objections to those who  before taking their concerns to the web?

"We had this before us at ," Flechtner said. "We approved the proposed development, and there were no objections from any one of the people from the trailer park at that meeting."

The planning commission also discussed the project at its Februrary meeting.
