The organization signed American Fireworks to this year’s celebration but unless the organization gets co-sponsors by mid-April to help cover the $10,000 price tag it may have to cancel the show and forfeit half the costs. Any person, business or entity interested in donating money may contact Jaycees chairman Jennifer Reider by e-mail at Neoh71@aol.com.
  • Friends of the will host a . The sale is in the lower level of the library during regular library hours. Shop from 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. March 31, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. April 1, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. April 2 and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. April 3.
  • at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Stark County District Library, Jackson Township branch, 4787 Fulton Drive NW. Learn about the U.S. citizenship test, federalism, civil liberties, civil rights as well as the three branches of government.
  • We had death notices posted this week for , 92, of North Canton, who retired in 1980 from the U.S. Postal Service, and , 57, of North Canton, a Marine Corps veteran and Spring Electric employee.
