'Take a Book to Lunch' Campaign Kicks Off at North Canton Public Library

The Friends of the North Canton Public Library encourage you to stop into the library on your next lunchbreak. And don't forget your book

Those at the y invite you — and the book you're reading — to stop into the library on your next lunch break.

Why? The Friends of the North Canton Public Library has a "Take a Book to Lunch" program underway to encourage patrons to visit the library during their lunch breaks. A series of posters are rotating through businesses located in the Hoover District that highlight the advantages of taking a book to lunch.

The promotion has been expanded to other North Canton businesses as part of the 30th anniversary of the Friends of the North Canton Public Library.

"One of the objectives of the Friends is to promote use of the library in the community," said Jane Pieper, president of the Friends of the North Canton Public Library.

"As part of our 30th birthday celebration we are reaching out to different groups to encourage them to take advantage of all that the library has to offer. Many people are not aware of the library's e-book circulation, which has more than doubled this year."
