Our top six stories of the week

1. High-speed pursuit Tuesday: While we were all getting our shuteye Tuesday morning, North Canton police were high-tailing it through the city to catch a driver who just wouldn't put his foot on the brake. .

2. Petition to limit city officials health care: Resident Chuck Osborne is on a mission to get his initiative on the ballot. What's the premise? To limit certain city officials' and their family members' health care benefits. .

3. Hoover High named top high school: We saw some very good news for this week — the school was , according to U.S. News & World Report. It even had a ranking among top high schools in the country.

4. State of the City Address: Mayor David Held filled us in Wednesday night on the state of North Canton and how it's continuing to bounce back after the Hoover Company left in 2008. The media team from Hoover High School was there filming the event for Channel 11. You can check out that video footage here.

5. Steaker appears in court (not): Police say Christopher S. McCormick, 26, of North Canton, crashed his car into a federal building . McCormick has yet to appear in court for his arraignment hearing. That hearing has been rescheduled three times, as McCormick remains in Heartland Behavioral Health.

6. Hoover High students dominate at Paint-Off: Hoover High art students Thursday. Art teacher Christopher Triner shared some great photos and information with us this week.
