New TSA Checkpoint at CAK, a Local American Idol & More: Week in Review

It's been a pretty busy week in North Canton, hasn't it? We're making it easier for you to catch up on your news with this Week in Review update.

1. A after he heard police were looking for him. Police say James W. Knappenberger, 19, struck Cynthia Hernandez, 23, as she ran across the street at Mt. Pleasant Street and Ladonna Circle outside Uniontown about 11:30 p.m. Saturday. 

2. Lake High School senior Amelia Finefrock has headed to Hollywood! The 17-year-old North Canton resident talked to us about being on American Idol and what she hopes to get out of the experience. If you , you'll see she has lots of fans rooting her on. Go on, add your encouragement, too!

4. The celebrated the grand opening of its new Transportation Security Administration checkpoint this week and let us get up close with their new security technology. and let us know what you think of the new checkpoint!

5. You might not have heard a whole lot about the Source Water Assessment and Protection committee until now, but it's what got at Monday night's North Canton City Council meeting. Residents think the city has gone too far in dictating what citizen committee members can and cannot discuss. What's your take?
