Moms Talk Q&A: The Preschool Hunt
There is so much to consider when choosing the perfect preschool for your child. Let's help one another out and answer this question: What should we look for in a preschool?
When I decided to put my daughter in preschool right after she turned 3 years old, I didn't realize how many factors there were to consider.
I thought my decision would be easy, but when I started weighing out factors such as length of the class, how much playtime did they have versus how much learning time, and of course cost, I started to put more thought into the whole process.
The first preschool I visited, I fell in love with instantly. I loved the director, it was five minutes from my home, it had a playground, and they fed them lunch. But children had to attend a minimum of three days for four hours each. It would have cost almost $400 a month. Whoa — new plan. This was not in our budget and we were sending our daughter more for the socialization with other children.

So, we had to really evaluate what it is we wanted and also what we could reasonably afford. It was really helpful when I received advice from other moms. Maybe this question will help other moms who are starting, or who will soon be starting, the preschool hunt.
So what should a mom look for in a preschool?
