LOOK: Dogwood Pool Gets Spruced Up

The city-owned pool has some upgrades this year — new chairs, new siding for the lifeguard office, flowers and cement work. It's ready for its official opening day Saturday.

is looking a little more lively nowadays, with flowers around the pool, new lounge chairs and adirondack chairs and new siding on the lifeguard office.

The city did a lot of sprucing up in time to open the pool for Memorial Day weekend, and, after having the pool closed for a week, is ready to open it officially Saturday.

Pool-goers are going to see a lifeguard office with new paneling and hanging flower baskets, new chairs, concrete work, warmer water temperatures and other improvements.

"It's basically small stuff that makes a huge impact for our residents," said Jim Davis said, superintendent of utilities, service and recreation.
