Grab & Go Kids Planner: Observe National Reading Month

Celebrate the joy of reading at area libraries and have fun at a birthday party for Dr. Seuss with your kids this week

Do you want to find something special to do with your children? Well, you have come to the right place. Our Grab & Go Kids Planner suggests five local attractions and activities for you to do with the kiddos each week.

What has your family done recently in North Canton and in close proximity that others should try, too? Please let us know in the comment box below. We appreciate any feedback you have on our Grab & Go Kids Planner.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

One of the most rewarding activities parents can do is read to their children and watch how certain books capture their interest. Reading with your child encourages discussion and is a great teaching and bonding tool.

March is National Reading Month, so there is no better time to visit our area libraries. Check out their book selections and take part in a new program or two.

Here's our challenge to you: Read with your child for a half hour daily during March. North Canton Patch contributor Emily Chesnic pledges to do just that this month, no matter how hectic the day may get.

Here are some great activities to get you and your youngsters into a library or bookstore this week. Remember, don’t leave a location without picking out a few books for reading time at home.
