Make your weekend one to remember by seeing some live bands, visiting the theater or grabbing a big, family-style meal at Gervasi

Where/When: North Canton Playhouse Youth Theatre, 1210 S. Main St.; 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2:30 p.m. Sunday
Why Go: Tell us this: When’s the last time you saw a cabaret performance? Exactly. This show is a “lesson in life, love and musical theater.”
Pricing: $8

2. Get a big, family-style dinner without dirtying your dishes
Where/When: Gervasi Vineyard & Italian Bistro, 1700 55th St. NE, Canton; 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Sunday
Why Go: Did you see that part about not doing the dishes? And Gervasi claims to give you “everything but the kiss from Grandma.” You shouldn’t need more reason than that. They unveil the new family-style option Sunday.
Pricing: $25 for dinner, $15 for lunch

3. Welcome the Brighter Side Band back to North Canton
Where/When: The Barrel Room Wine and Beer Bar, 7901 N. Cleveland Ave.; 9 p.m.-midnight Saturday
Why Go: The young blues band returned this week from Memphis, where they competed in an international blues competition. We're sure they’re dying to let you know how it went.
Pricing: No cover charge

4. Enjoy brews, blues and good company at Puckers
Where/When: ; 9 p.m. Saturday-1 a.m. Sunday
Why Go: The Class Act Band will play rock, dance, Motown, funk and blues music all night.
Pricing: No cover charge

5. For those with more refined musical tastes: Violin, cello and piano concert at Kent Stark
Where/When: ; 7:30 p.m. Friday
Why Go: Support our branch campus of Kent State University and do it in class. The Almeda Trio, Cleveland’s Music School Settlement’s trio-in-residence, will be a soothing ending to a hard workweek.
