We shopped around to find the best of what's going on in and near North Canton this weekend

Are your weekend plans a little lackluster? Don’t fret. North Canton Patch did some digging to come up with five awesome things to get you out of the house and having fun this weekend.

1. Rhythms concert series at the Massillon Museum
Where/When: 121 Lincoln Way, Massillon; 8 p.m. Saturday
Why Go: Ever hear of a motivational speaker? Well, Cy Harp will motivate you, too — but with music. This soulful artist wants to change people’s selfish thinking. But we suggest you be a little selfish and go see him for yourself. Click here for more info on the series.
Pricing: $15 for non-members, $12.50 for members or $10 for students

2. NASCAR Day at North Canton’s Pat Catan’s
Where/When: Pat Catan’s, 4321 Whipple Ave., North Canton; noon-4 p.m. Sunday
Why Go: We were intrigued by the marriage of NASCAR and crafting, so we had to include this one for you. You make your own racing-inspired necklace with beads and take it home.
Pricing: Free

3. LaFlavour live at the 356
Where/When: ; 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday night
Why Go: A band good enough to play back-to-back weekend shows at the 356th? Doesn’t sound like something to take lightly. Enjoy good food, dancing and music until they close the place down.
Pricing: $5 cover

4. Swing by Tinseltown USA for a movie
Where/When: Tinseltown USA, 4720 Mega St. NW, North Canton; Various times
Why Go: Because you haven’t seen the new Justin Bieber movie? (Sorry, we had to go there.) But the real reason is because people often so busy trying to think of new and exciting things to do that they forget watching a movie in the theater is typically a good time.
Pricing: $8.50 for adults, $6 for seniors and kids (non-matinee)

5.
Where/When: Canalway Center at Sippo Lake Park, 5712 12th St. NW, Canton; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Sunday
Why Go: For one, it’s free. Stark Parks has opened this area up to nature lovers at no charge this month. Pretend to captain a canal boat and interact with the Innovation Station.
Pricing: Free, but group rates still apply
