Get Out: Ryan Humbert Band, Vegan Bake Sale and More

There's so much going on this weekend, it was tough to pick just five things. Whether you're into live music or looking for a benefit dinner, you'll find something fun to do in our weekend planner

1.

Where/When: VegiTerranean, 21 Furnace St., Akron; 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday

Why Go: Many people in Northeast Ohio have come together to help those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Why not support the cause by buying some vegan baked goods or some animal treats?

Pricing: Varies

2. SPAGHETTI DINNER TO BENEFIT JAPAN

Where/When: Community Christian Church, 210 N. Main St., North Canton; 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday

Why Go: For one, it’s all you-can-eat pasta. And the second reason? It’s to benefit those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Get your fill on pasta for a good cause. There’s supposed to be a silent auction and bake sale there, too.

Pricing: $5 for adults and kids

3. VINTAGE JEWELRY TRUNK SHOW

Where/When: Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography, 520 Cleveland Avenue NW; 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Friday

Why Go: As part of First Friday, this art gallery will do something a little different. It still will have photos displayed throughout the gallery, but you’ll also find great vintage jewelry and new stuff, too.

Pricing: Free

4.
Where/When: , 6000 Frank Ave NW, North Canton; 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. Friday

Why Go: You can often find this local musician entertaining crowds inside the Barrel Room Wine & Beer Bar, but on this night you’ll find him in the Main Hall Auditorium of Kent State Stark performing a free show. He’s a hard-working musician and always a blast to see perform!

Pricing: Free

5.
Where/When: North Canton Public Library, 185 N. Main St., North Canton; 2 p.m.-3 p.m. April 3

Why Go: North Canton Heritage Society Director Kathy Fernandez will conduct the tour and be accompanied by Mary Kay Allen and Bob Bauman, former Hoover Company employees, who will talk about the photos, and reminisce about their experiences.

Pricing: Free
