Civic Helpers Honored, Community Market Meeting & More: Week in Review

1. Community market could become a reality: Oh yes, North Canton could have a community market likes the ones you find in Columbus and Cleveland. who also are planning a meeting at the North Canton Public Library to talk about the market today.

2. Civic helpers honored by North Canton Chamber: Lee Spencer of Lee Spencer Photography provided us with at Wednesday night's North Canton Area Chamber of Commerce awards ceremony. Folks like Alan and Lisa Frank of Ermanno's Legendary Pizza and and Dan Tullius and Larry Owens (the folks who organized North Canton's first farmers market) were spotlighted.

3. Students mingle with Rep. Jim Renacci: We also owe some thanks to Hoover High art teacher Chris Triner for adding some this week. His students got to rub elbows with Rep. Jim Renacci Wednesday night at the 16th Annual Congressional Art Show at the Canton Museum of Art.

4. Going bald for cancer research: Hoover High junior to raise money for childhood cancer research at Sunday's St. Baldrick's Foundation event at Quaker Steak & Lube. If you haven't congratulated Kenzie for her bravery yet, here's your chance!

5. Senior citizens invited to prom: Know a senior citizen who likes to cut a rug and meet some new people? Sounds like they'd love Hoover High's Senior Citizens Prom, taking place April 28 at the Hoover High School Commons. .
