Cheap Date: 'Sew Artistic' Canton First Friday

Ready for a fashionable night in downtown Canton?

That's right — Canton First Friday has rolled around again, and this time the theme is all about fashion.

Tonight's "Sew Artistic" event will feature Colette Wasdahl Fashion Design above Elemental Arts, 236 Walnut Ave NE. Also at that spot you'll find live music from Scott Paris, a style contest where you put together a vintage outfit and a fashion design competition.

  • Free dance lesson at Andrew Fulmer Dance Studios, 300 Tuscarawas Ave. N.
  • One-year anniversary celebration at Evolution Art, 338 4th St. NW — photography and art by Ted Younessi and Michael Weiss, live music, cupcakes, wine and cheese
  • Live music in the Arts District, including live jazz at Tozzi's Downtown 6 p.m.-9 p.m. and John Morton Trio at Picciano's 8 p.m.-11 p.m.
