We're talking brews ranging from very light (the Belgian Affligem Blond) to the darker stuff (the Waterloo Dark). There's even some limited edition brews, like the Newcastle Werewolf Ale, and some that are just hitting the shelves, like the Leinkugel Lemon Berry Shandy.

"There's really something for everyone," said Christina Weyrick-Cooper, organizer for the Brews After 5 event. "And the great thing is you can try them all in 4-ounce tastes and then buy full bottles of whatever you like."

She's right. Everyone who buys a $15 ticket to the event will receive a beer passport, which allows them to sample all 10 beers. (You can see the full beer list here.) Then you can buy full bottles of beer or purchase another passport.

Designated driver tickets also are available for $5. See any Brews After 5 committee member to buy tickets, or buy them online.

Brews After Five also will feature a creole menu from Zydeco Bistro and music from the zydeco jam band Mo' Mojo.

The event benefits the Chamber of Commerce, which uses the money raised to continue its community programming, like the Main Street Festival and seminars for business owners, Weyrick-Cooper said.

She said it's events like Brews After 5 and North Canton Gone Mad that show the North Canton Area Chamber of Commerce values having fun and engaging community members of all ages.

"The Chamber has proved in the past year that they're really providing support for businesses; they're helping make North Canton a more appealing place to live," Weyrick-Cooper said.

"We're proving Chamber events are the place to be seen, have a good time and meet other people."
