Best Place to Eat Breakfast: This Week's Readers' Choice

Your nominations wanted: Where do you like to go out to breakfast?

If you're going out to breakfast, you want to make the right choice. After all, it's the most important meal of the day.

You want a fluffy pancake, not a flat one. You want coffee immediately and plenty of it. You want your bacon cooked just right. And, of course, you want friendly service.

Beginning today -- Monday, March 26 and through 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 -- we'll be asking for your recommendations of the best places to take the family out to eat.

Give us your recommendation in the comments section below. With your help, we'll put together a list of nominees. Then look for our poll on Thursday, March 29 and vote! We'll select a winner at 5 p.m. March 30 and announce it in a story on Saturday, March 31.

In judging, we'll consider comments, poll votes and reviews in Patch Places, our complete directory of local businesses. Be sure to check out our contest rules in the PDF at right.

Susannah's, by far! Iris's favorite.....egg in a nest (rye bread) and crispy home fries and of course, their delish coffee and/or ice tea.

Samantha's has a great variety of delicious foods and will custom make something for you if they have the ingredients. They are very kid friendly and the staff is courteous. My drink never goes empty If you are looking for traditional, bill and Mary's is a great place to frequent. They have the classics at a great price and friendly service.

Samantha's is always on top of our list! Huge menu and our 3 young boys LOVE it there. We always feel welcome and get such friendly service!

Samatha's is always our choice off of Portage. The food is great - every thing I have tried is delicious! It is definitely kid friendly. The decor is cute and inviting. And, the staff is friendly.

Samantha's is great but can often be crazy packed (and IMHO is a tad on the expensive side) so we go between there and Bill & Mary's.
Chellsea Mastroine March 26, 2012 at 01:52 PM
Samantha's on Market is our go-to place for sure. I'm pretty basic when it comes to breakfast foods and seldom branch away from poached or basted eggs, but the weekend specials at Samantha's always make me want to try something new!

Bill and Mary's is our favorite place to go for breakfast in North Canton.
Stephanie Draper March 26, 2012 at 02:02 PM
Susannah's right downtown. Good eats at good prices. A truly North Canton establishment.
Ashley Villers March 26, 2012 at 02:13 PM
All my choices have been named, Bill & Mary's, Samantha's, and Susannah's. Love me some breakfast!

We like Molly Brown's Country Cafe in Ellet. Good food, reasonable prices, very good service. We really like the wide variety of breakfast items including mexican-style and their family style breakfast.

Geez I wish I'd seen this list this morning. We almost never do breakfast out so this am we tried to hit Bill and Mary's-only to find out they are closed on Mondays. Then ended up someplace that we were really not impressed with.

Just to clarify, this contest is for locations in North Canton.

Rob's right — we're looking for North Canton restaurants for our Readers' Choice poll. Although now I know where I can go for a good breakfast in Hartville and Ellet now! Thanks everyone for giving us your nominations so quickly! I think this is going to be a really great poll this week.

Susanna's. I worked there and my family used to own it. Great people. Great food. I can personally vouch for the fact that their homefries are fresh cut from real potatoes every single day. Not frozen. I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict, when available.

For me it's Cracker Barrel..Love the grits!
Kathy Yaros March 26, 2012 at 11:36 PM
For me, its gotta be Bill and Mary's. They have the best biscuits n grits! Worth the occasional splurge!

Beysley's on north Main - great food and service with a smile
KC March 27, 2012 at 12:11 PM
You got it girlfriend! It truly IS a North Canton establishment+++ I see your mom and dad there all the time:-) It's like 'old home' when you go in there and see so many familiar faces.

Hey Chellsea. So sorry we can't include Samantha's on Market in the poll. I've been told by my managers that it's out of our directory limits (yes, even though it is THISCLOSE to Walsh University).
